My Fraser at a lookout across the harbour in Auckland. The car is a Lotus 7 style kit car. Locally produced, this took me two years to build. Powered by a Mazda MX5 (Miata) NB 1.8 engine with Link Atom computer and Jenvey Throttle Bodies. 131hp at the rear wheels, but weighing around 650kg it keeps up with friends Cobras and Porsches well enough.
Hi, Never too old - Building may be an issue, but as for driving, one of our club members is 77, he had a removable steering wheel installed so that he can more easily get in and out of the car. It works well. As long as he remembers to put the wheel where he can reach it once he has buckled himself in!! Cheers
