Anyone try or have thoughts on using this Voigtlander 110 f2.5 Macro Apo-Lanthar on a Nikon Z body? I would probably prefer a VM mount, but this can be adapted just as easily with a simple adapter, right?

The lens is only made in the Sony FE mount; there is no VM version. I believe there is an adapter for the lens to the Nikon Z cameras.

Thanks Rich! I saw that it's only made for the Sony FE Mount indeed. I found that there are a couple of simple adapters to Nikon Z mount available in the $30-50 range. I was wondering if anyone has tried shooting this lens on a Z mount camera and how it did?

I have not shot the lens on anything but some of my Sony bodies. But, I would suspect that others have and that the lens should perform about as well on the Nikon Z bodies as on the Sony bodies. As to the Sony FE to Nikon Z mount adapters, if they are only available as dumb adapters, you should not be able to get any EXIF data shared with your camera. If however there are adapters which have electrical contacts (I am not sure if they would be chipped), I would expect that they would provide EXIF data.

Hi, can anybody share your experience between this lens and Zeiss 135mm F2 APO (classical ZF.2)?
...
110mm about 300g lighter than Zeiss with adapter.
So from image quality, color, rendering, bokeh, characters, and sharpness points of view, which would you recommend?
I can't answer to your question; I own both 100/2 Makro-Planar and 135/2 Apo Sonnar (both "classical" ZF.2), but no 110/2.5 AL.
The 135/2 Apo is wonderful however it's rather heavy, and I would recommend you to handle both it and the 110 AL before taking a decision. Sometimes I prefer my 100/2 MP over 135/2 AS to save weight.

Looking at the the fenced in 4 Acre American Chestnut test Grove in Autumn Color and into the distance. The American Chestnut had been a major constituent of the Eastern United States Forests until the Chestnut Blight in the first half of the 20th century killed most of the trees. Roots of the trees in the forests have been putting up suckers since that grow to as much as about 20' tall before dying back due to the Blight. This 4 Acre Test Grove is part of the efforts to develop and breed blight resistant trees to be reintroduced into the Eastern Forests.
