the new firmware works wonders in low light environments. i can confidently bring it into any low light environment now without any hesitation and use it as normal. I use AF-C Dynamic AF exclusively and it was used for all the photos shown. id argue the z6 is better at focusing in low light than my d850 now.
I agree-some amazing perspectives in these shots, the wide angles giving an impressive sense of space.
What is everybody pointing their phones at in the first shot? As a photo it looks really cool, but when I'm in a crowd like that I'm increasingly annoyed by so many people having to record every last bit of an event instead of enjoying actually being there... Well, maybe I'm getting old. And I'm not 50 yet...

Me too man, me too.
It was Tiesto's entrance so they were recording it as he came on , terribly. But the flash lights add something to the photo, so it's a catch 22.
Florence + the Machine last night. The new firmware really is great, definitely gives me complete confidence in the low light focusing, i only lost focus once, and it was when it was super strong back light, and using the z7 with the adapted 70-200 vr2, but the native lenses with the z6 never had an issue even in the same scenario. not sure if its the adapted lens or the z7, but either way, my d850 would have struggled in the same condition, so its no biggy.
Great set. turbodude wrote:

That is an outstanding set, Al. Very, very nice.
I really don't have that much of a low light requirement, but it sure is nice to see the potential.
I can say definitively, that the shutter lag is improved with v2.0 firmware and I "think" there's even a modest AF & tracking improvement in daylight shooting.
This was handheld, in the wind, with a 500PF + 1/4 TC.
700mm, 1/2500, F8, ISO 1000

I took some photos at the East Coast Volleyball tournament in Bethlehem, PA. It is held in May each year here. I never shot volleyball before and it was a challenge at this level of play. I have a lot of photos to go through, but here is one of the ones I liked. I thought the Z6 did very well paired with the 70-300 AF-P lens. Usually I would choose the 70-200 or 24-70 for this type of event (I was able to shoot at the net).
