I carried the Peak Design Sling 5L and inside the A7R III, FE 24/1.4 GM, CV 40/1.2, ZM 85/4 and RRS mini tripod. The body had the very thin Markins L-bracket and it all fit perfectly.
Fred, what was your experience pairing the 24/1.4 and CV40 in your bag on the trip? Did you favor one lens or the other? Personally, I would think with some cropping, the 24 might just stay on my camera instead of swapping for the 40. I have the 40/1.2, but I have been tempted to go for the GM lens for AF. That said... shooting the 40/1.2 is just dang fun

I'm not sure if the 24/1.4 GM replaces the CV 40/1.2 Nokton. It's a different look and although you can crop the 24mm file, it does not look quite the same. I really like carrying 24/40/85.

Cropping the 1.4/24 to 40mm gives you a roughly f2.2 40mm equivalent with maybe 16MP if you have a 42MP sensor.
It’s thats fine for your needs go for it. But the f2.2 DOF will obviously look very different from f1.2.
