My second unit has now failed in the same way as the first: back focusing by 2-4cm. It was a demo unit supplied as a replacement for the first after 6 months of wrangling with Sony Australia ending in the threat of court action.
The first lasted about 9 months. This one about 18 months.
They are not designed to be mechanically adjustable and it takes the tiniest of component shifts to throw the focus out.
I'm aware of two users in the UK who've had the same experience.
The last owl one is great. Bit dark maybe and owls creep me out somewhat but…great nonetheless. Imagine that printed! Would look awesome.
