I did some more shooting this weekend though the weather was bad most of the time. Today there was a bit of semi-clear weather in the late afternoon but I didn't manage to find a spot to shoot against the sun yet.
Overall my lens seems to work best for long distance (>20m) shots at hard infinity (at least with my cameras), which is convenient as there's no need to do any careful focus adjustments then. With all my other native CV lenses I usually need to pull back a little bit from hard infinity for best results.

Thanks for the samples ! They look very good corner to corner at F/4 already.
I think I have found the perfect wide angle to complement my Tamron 28-75
Looks like a nice lens but the edges of the frame of the street shots at f4, and corners at f5.6 don't appear to compete with my Loxia. I also see some purple fringing in the tree of the Japan street shot.
Still might not be a bad alternative for something smaller, lighter, and less expensive than the Loxia.

I'm hoping the new CV 21/3.5 has much less field curvature to compensate.

Yea I’m looking for something that maybe good for interior work too. So little distortion would be great. 15 is a touch too wide and 25 a little too long. So would not mind having this

The city scenes looked great right into the far corners to me, the night scenes are too close and have too many components of the scenes that are not in the focal plane. Even my Lox has some PF in some scenes.
I'm more worried about sample variation.
Hopefully Monday CameraQuest will give me a shipping notification.

Thanks very much! I'm personally planning to get 24mm GM as well, but for different purpose than this CV 21/3.5. This CV will be in my native MF kit for walk-around shooting and might be used for travel too and the GM will complete my native Sony AF set with f1.4 aperture for use at events etc. where AF is necessary (it is replacing my Batis 25/2 that I already sold recently). I expect to utilize the GM a lot for close ups with nice bokeh effects too.
Had to let the Sammy 35 and a couple vintage lenses go to make it happen, but hey. Autofocus, schmautofocus.
I'm especially excited to use this on a gimbal for video. My kid's preschool is a "co-op" model, so all the parents have some sort of working role there, mine is photo and video duty. Really happy with what I've gotten so far using the 40/1.2 and Laowa 15/2. Obviously, I can't share any of the photos online without permission, but hopefully that'll happen. Not gonna toot my own horn too much, but there are a few I'm really proud of. The 21 should fit in very well at the space.
If anyone has specific requests for sample shot conditions, lmk. I'll be promptly taping over the contacts after some initial tests of my own. Otherwise, I'm sure Fred will do his usual amazing and thorough job.
Got the CV 21/3.5 today and tested against the Lox 21/2.8 at infinity. I'll be checking the results right now...
I'm hoping it performs well because it's so tiny and light. (230g)
