Thank you, Ari. It was actually a little discomforting to watch, as we know that the owl must be stressing out as he must have felt trapped and vulnerable. It was a relief to everyone when he (or she) finally broke loose.

Bobby, I saw a Cormorant which got caught up here at Sepulveda Dam. It got caught by the neck and out on a small island within the dam. Nothing anyone could do. We'd need a boat to get to it. It struggled for a while but ultimately got lose. Very tense situation. Always happy when they make it. Lil

We know the feeling - but there was not the feeling of helplessness amongst us. We would have freed the owl if he wasn’t able to do it himself. Any photos?
