Something a little different - at least for us.

Prairie Dogs seem to be in abundance in SW Oklahoma. We visited the Out-Laws for Thanksgiving and went out birding a couple times and saw these guys each time we ventured out.

Thanks Bruce! Such insane colors and the plumage is pretty over the top.

Just a few Eagle shots. The last one was flying out from a tree where is was dark into a white sky so my shutter was way to low at 1/400 but was able to pull the exposure back -2.20 and the detail was still there and sharp for 1/400.

I like to shoot low shutter speed at times but this was more of an accident this time.

These are pretty amazing Eric... Wish I had access to eagles like this!
Love all of the detail throughout the images!

Thanks again Bruce for the kind words! I must say I think the gear covers up a bit of my deficiencies.
It's helpful to be so close to Conowingo Dam (i live just 25 min from it) as the Eagles will congregate there. It's considered the 3rd best place in the country to photo Bald Eagles. You have to make the trip out some November or in mid April during the Shad spawn.

Sincere thanks Bruce.

It was quite a treat for us. We'd never seen these guys before, so we were like kids @ Xmas - just couldn't get enough. Lol!

Lovely set Bruce.

The otter images are excellent. This looks like quite a large fella.

Well done, despite the ice everywhere!

This one lens made me switch systems. I bought 500/D860 just for lightweight tele needs. Added 300 PF. Then came Z7II at the expense of a7rIII, which was a great body but Z7II is equally good for the things a7r3 was good for, namely, landscapes, with added advantage that i could streamline everything. Don’t have to maintain 2 parallel systems + my F mount lenses work on it.

Such a clean image with narrow depth of field......are these settings true or a mistake? Perfect conditions if so!

NIKON D500 500.0 mm f/5.6 lens 700mm f/8.0 1/2000s 320 ISO -1.0 EV

Beautiful shot!
