Has anyone experienced a magenta color cast in the corners? My copy of the Loxia 25 has some. It reminds me of the artificial color you can get when trying to adapt some wide angle Leica lenses. It is not too strong but I see it.

Which body? The different sensors behave differently in this regard w/ the Leicas. (I think if the Loxia does it on any of them, that's a bummer for sure).

Something else I noticed is that the Lox 21's focusing ring action is stiffer compared to the Lox 25's. Not sure which one is better but for me, they have a different MF feel. Could this be copy variation or Zeiss may have tweaked the helicoid?

It's a great walk around lens. Sometimes I like bringing a wide angle lens and nothing else...it forces me to try new compositions. With the Loxia 21, being an ultra-wide, things get a little more challenging.

My 25 is much lighter to focus than my 21, the latter being stuck at infinity since a recent field trip. If Zeiss did alter the helicoid, perhaps it was to address that issue.

I experience consistently light and smooth focus action from Loxias 35, 50 and 85. My 21 is much stiffer by comparison. But it could be copy variation because the first 21 I had was smoother, if I remember correctly.

I've tried a few Loxia 21's and they were all stiffer than the other Loxias, including the new Lox 25. I don't find that to be a problem though, it's just curious.

Has anyone decided to keep both Loxias (21 & 25)?
The 25/26mm focal length is more useful to me, but there are situations when the 21 will be needed. Keeping both would also help to bridge the gap between my 15mm Laowa and my CV 40.
FL Diagonal FOV (deg)
15 111
21 92
25 80 (using 26mm as actual FL)

All loxia 21mm I've used had relatively stiff manual focus rings.

This is the route I will take until there is an outstanding native 28mm in the market (Voigtlander or Zeiss)
CV12, CV15, Lox21, Lox25, CV40, CV65 (Mix of CV and Loxia lenses)
When only taking a few lenses, probably: CV15, Lox25, CV40, ZM85.

I have decided to keep both as well. I think for Sony E mount I will go with the Batis 18 f/2.8, the Loxia 25 f/2.4, and the Voigtlander 40 f/1.2 and Loxia 85 as my typical kit; but other times I will go with a mixed camera kit with the Laowa 15 f/2, Loxia 21, as the start of a kit and going with the Fuji GFX at longer focal lengths with the Hasselblad 40 CFi IF(a 28 equivalent), Contax 645 55 f/3.5 (a 40mm equivalent), Hasselblad C 100 f/3.5 (a 75mm equivalent), and Hasselblad CF 180 f/4 (a 135mm equivalent). Both should be very nice kits.

I'm doing the same less the CV12 and ZM85. The CV65 screwed up my planning - fell in love with the lens so I had to make room. I plan to end up with:
