p.1 #1 · Costa Rica Round 5, some new species and some old (image heavy)
Congratulations to kdacharya for winning Feature Thread of the Week with 3 votes - View Previous Winners
Hi All,
thanks for helping me along by providing the encouragement, suggestions, viewing and commenting so patiently for the last few months. As I post more pics, I find that I have fewer pictures that I really like to present as I start thinking about the light, sharpness, IQ, BGs, perches, so on and so forth. CR for me was an eye opener and in my photographic journey I have started second guessing myself a lot, more so in post processing, than in the field, which is not how it should be. Hopefully I will reverse that order in future. Almost all the species in CR were new and lifers for me, so it is difficult for me to judge what is common and what is not. However based on the excitement and the discussions between our group leader and the guides, I believe that some the ones I will be presenting may be not so common. Who am I to argue?
I am posting all the new species for the members who are going there shortly
Once again if I have wrong IDs for any of these, please feel free to correct me.
A big thanks to Supreet for taking me to CR and all the help before during and after
As in the prior posts, 39, 40 and 41 pictures did not work. Let's try middle ground and leave it at 40 D

This is an exquisite set KD. It appears that you intended to post additional photos and that has not happened. Don't do it. Create additional threads with the rest.
As for thinking deeper during processing, it this is the way your mind is working and you are producing beauties like this, then don't change.

Another fantastic set, KD. These pictures are making me jealous. I feel as if I missed taking pictures of many beauties on my trip to CR 2 years ago and need to make a return trip.
Gorgeous!!

That's OK, I was just trying to help you with "less is more". Now I got go go back and find all the beautiful images you added. I'm quite impressed how much you have improved over the past year.

Lovely work and you have some real "hummers" here. Love your potoo. That eye really stands out!!
And where did you get that margay? It is one of the best looking of all the cats.
You certainly did fill your cards with quality images.
