Last weekend I was lucky to spend an hour with this owl watching it fly from post to post looking for prey along a barbed wire fence.
Then the unexpected, it flew almost straight at me and then over the hood of my truck almost clipping my antenna.
It flew off deep into the trees and I quickly did a review on the camera, I couldn't wipe the smile off my face the entire drive home

These are some amazing shots! Normally when I see shots of owls flying directly at the camera I conclude bait was used. In this case that was not the case. Congratulations on being in the right place at the right time and prepared to get the shots. Excellent!
