These are some amazing shots! Normally when I see shots of owls flying directly at the camera I conclude bait was used. In this case that was not the case. Congratulations on being in the right place at the right time and prepared to get the shots. Excellent!
Dave
Thanks Dave, I'm totally against baiting.

Lovely indeed. And where is the snow BG. Don't tell me you are out of snow. We can send some from the east if you like.
Amazing stuff here. #1 is the wall shot my friend.
Don
Thank you Don, you can keep your own snow

Wonderful series ! Love the "incoming" shots right at you! Such a great opportunity, and you did well.
Did you capture all these sitting inside the truck or were you on a tripod outside?
Superb job! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks, I was sitting in my truck.

Great shots. #3-#7 look like it locked in its radar(eyes) on to your truck.
Thanks all
dalite, it’s eyes where locked on me most of the shots, as it got bigger in the viewfinder I actually got concerned
and dropped the camera to my lap as I wasn’t sure what was about to happen. When it flew over the hood of
my truck, I thought did that just happen?

I am available anytime to follow you around. I have never seen better pictures of any bird. Wonderful. Do you see them often?
Thanks all for the kind words.
Just a little background on shooting these owls for me,
The location is almost 2 hours round trip from my house.
I usually spent 2-3 hours out there looking for them.
I haven’t seen any for the last 8 trips out.
That puts the time in to this lucky encounter at 35+ hours.
