Greetings.
Happy to say I got my R3 Friday the 24. (much to my surprise). Unfortunately I haven't had much time to play with it as I was rather busy this weekend and it gets really early dark here in Norway during winter. Good thing is that every change is for the better, except I think they have done what should have been next to impossible and actually made menus even more messy and painful to use. Not too worried about that, because if you invest the time and set up the custom menu properly that should take care of all your needs. Grip was much nicer, the auto switch to viewfinder is less eager, but still a bit too sensitive. Anyway, I think Sony have got a winner on their hands here.

That's pretty much what B&H told me in Chat today. I guess I'll rent A7RII for the trip instead.

This is going to be a long week waiting. Anyone here in the states credit card get charged yet. Curious as to when they are shipping. I see no news on the 24-105 at all shipping either

Yeah, but maybe you guys got the better deal after all. I have a store here that has the a7rIII in stock, but I don’t have the money!

No, the quarter of a stop increase, which is what Bill measured was exaggerated by the marketing. They claimed much more. Hey and quarter of a stop is not something I would reject, but let's keep it in perspective--that is a very small increase and all below ISO 640.
