That’s the good news but I got bad news too. I lost my Promise Pegasus R4 storage array. That’s a 1200 dollar loss. I’m still trying to figure it out. Tech support said it’s a dead chassis but to me he was worthless in helping.

I pre-ordered at B&H at 10:02am. I'm leaving on a photo trip on December 1st, and assumed that if the camera is released on 30th I won't get it in time. Chatted with b&h rep today who told me that the cameras are arriving at their warehouse on 28th, and I may get it with 1 day shipping, no guarantee. So I upgraded, in hopes of taking it along.

Battery charged and have been setting it up. OMG new menus to have to deal with but have pretty much got it to mirror my A7rII in settings but I see that there is a lot of new stuff to master.

Can you please check if its possible to assign EFCS to a button now?
Also is spot metering now based on where your spot focus is?

as to the first question I don't see it but there are 23 pages to look through in the custom button set up and they have changed what some things are called. As to the 2nd question it doesn't appear to be

Yeah, this feature is trickled down from the A9 according to specs and the manual. Very nice. You can set it to center or follow the active focus point.
