Despite the challenges of manual focus, I just love using this lens for family pictures at Christmas. Great lens for capturing videos too, focus pulling is so natural. Shooting at f1.2 and f1.4 for a bit more punch/contrast at times.

Image of Children's Pool here in La Jolla. Originally it was designed as a calm beach that children could safely swim in. It has since been taken over by the local seals and is now off limits to humans. Every evening the seals come to spend the night on the protected sand beach.
Walking by yesterday evening near sunset I decided to make an image of this soft and peaceful scene to the North East rather than shoot the flame vivid sunset to the South West. I am happy I did.
This is a two frame panorama stitched together and processed in Lightroom.
Looking North East toward the Torrey Pines State Reserve
How do you unmount tle lens? My is pretty tight in the mount, and the only area grabbing the lens is the focus ring. So I have to use quite force on focus ring at the close end.

Mine comes on & off fairly easy. Same as every other lens really.
Like Lee's mine comes of with just the normal resistance like my other lenses.
Still I don't use the focus ring to put in on or take it off. My minimum and infinity hard stops are spot on and I don't what to stress the mechanism. I usually grab the joint between the lens and hood to turn it off and on.
Are any of your other lenses difficult on your camera body?
Thanks for the tipp, this way managed to unmount without stressing the focus ring contact. I released the lens several times, and it may come off a bit easier.
I don't have experience with other lenses, 3weeks ago bought brand new A7iii and two mounth ago the lens used. I really love this lens, both the image and build quality. I just ordered the 21 3.5 skopar for wide angle, and I keep eyes on Sigma 65 2.0 for AF as third one. All of them keep the gear light and small, but I think th CV40 will most used.
I drove my Wife downtown hoping to get the Covid-19 vaccination yesterday evening. While she waited in a line estimated to be three hours I went down to the bay to take a few pictures. They ran out of vaccine before she got to the front of the line unfortunately.
It was a very still evening, with rain showers intermittently. I made this image in the rain, as a bit of clear sky on the horizon let some light through, just as dusk fell.
