Purchased the 40 from a another member. I've posted a few on the other board but haven't been putting to many here. Missed focus a little on this one (front).
Can anyone recommend a bag that will fit my a7riii and CV40 (with hood attached) and nothing else? I use a Thinktank Mirrorless Mover 5 for my RX1RII and it’s a snug fit. Looking for a similar thing for when I just want to take out the cv40 and no other lenses. Mirrorless Mover 10 maybe?

Sorry Eddie. I don't own such a small bag. My closest if urban/car show wandering is a Firetrap messenger bag with ICU insert - Although pretty slim that will still hold the A7 c/w CV40, CV21, FE85, hat, gloves, wallet......

Peak Design 5 sling and you can still fit two more small lenses stacked. It’s my favorite bag or a ONA Bowery would be great
BTW serious Bag whore here. I’ve just about owned half the market. Today I’m all Peak Design with a 5 and 10 sling and the 20 Backpack . All on my back instead of shoulder bags which after 4 decades killed my back
Thanks Guy. Was really looking for something that I couldn’t fit an additional lens in. Found a post many many pages back saying Mirrorless mover 10 will work though so ordered one

I have the mirrorless mover 10 for a 1-lens camera bag and it does fit the 40/1.2, but not with the hood attached. Nice bag for just a single lens carry. Works for the 28/2 or 55/1.8 too.
Ahh dangit, I use the lens with the hood attached all the time. I may have to return that bag then

I just tried it out and I was able to barely squeeze it in the bag with the hood on. It's very tight to work the camera in and out like that though. May still be fine for some uses, like keeping the camera safe inside a larger bag for travel.
Ona Bowery. It will hold camera , lens and hood. Plus you get a little extra room for either a smal lens or accessories. Still a nice small bag and fashionable as well. Cross shoulder it and you never even know it’s on.
BTW something I can pass on after 4 decades of this loose the shoulder bags folks. When you hit older age I guarantee you will have no back left. I distroyed myself as a working Pro with heavy gear and shoulder bags. Go for a sling or cross shoulder those messanger bags. Do not carry it over your shoulder. That weight takes its toll. If you listen to none of my advice than just listen to this one.
I realised the lens element is quite recessed at the front so I should be fine just using it without the hood now which will allow me to use the MM10 bag. Normally on my lenses I use the cheap metal screw on hoods and no lens caps. The hoods sole purpose to keep the lens element off the bottom of my bags. I was using the actual CV40 hood for the same reason as it’s about the same length of the metal ones I normally add

I always cross shoulder my messenger bags anyway. I don’t like them on single shoulders. Not due to weight I just don’t like having to keep thinking about them when they are on a single shoulder
