Some snaps from the Thanksgiving extravaganza. My in-laws have to rent out a fire hall to accommodate the event every year. This year we got a special VIP tour.
Took some shots at sunset the other week with the California wildfire smoke in the air. We're hundreds of miles away in the Bay Area, but the smoke traveled west and made air quality very unhealthy for over a week. Luckily the state has had rains now to contain the fires and clear the air.

I can't help but think you should do some work with your white balance on the interior shots.
I was hoping to save on tax by ordering from BHphoto over Cameraquest, but do we know who gets the shipment faster? Cameraquest says they have one coming in on December 5th, but BHphoto does not show availability.

Oh no, totally, I'm aware. The lighting was a nightmare. Horrendous mixed temperature flourescent and probably every different type of bulb. Throw in some bright sunlight coming in through the windows, to the degree that I had to desaturate the blue the daylight turned everything it touched when I was able to approximate the interior temp. I did monochrome versions first, .
I'm open to re-interpretations if you want to have a go. That was pretty much the best I could come up with trying to get these out to all the relatives ASAP. I went with a "warmer" direction than neutral to go with the vibe.
Have at em, for real.

You know B and H is now charging tax at the end of the year, right? I'm not sure if it will amount to the same amount since it appears you live in the same state as Cameraquest, but you will get taxed in some sort via B and H.
Thanks. What I usually do in this kind of situation, outside of play with the WB or color balance slider is find a gray/white eyedropper tool and fish around in areas that I would like to see a neutral white. I have Photoshop and use the eyedropper in Levels. Very un-scientific, but I can usually find a spot to sample that turns the photo around to my personal taste.
I love yellows where yellows belong, but indoors with "natural" light they can drain the energy out of a photo.
I take a lot of photos in the interiors of churches and mosques and have experienced the havoc of mixed light sources.

Only in certain states... Denver and California are not on the list I've seen...
