Hahaha, you are so right. I was thinking about them several times. But then I thought, well no one will look longer than 2 sec on the picture. Who will see them... Fred does... I fix it for you.

I loved this lens (didnt came off my A7iii after buying it) but it got stolen last week in Austin, TX...
This was one of my last shots which I luckily transfered to my phone straight away.
Woohoo insurance paid out so I bought back this Voigtlander straight away (and upgraded the A7iii to an A7Riii ) Let's share a picture I shot today with this awesome lens
Can I add a suggestion as I really like this but try some vignetting to darken the corners. My eye is immediately going to the light area on the right.
I picked up a copy of this lens in E mount to satisfy my curiosity. It's basically lived up to all of my expectations for better or worse.
Ergonomics are great, as expected of Voigtlander. The lens is smallish, but dense for its size. It's about the same dimensions as my 28/2, but the weight makes it feel noticeably beefier on the camera.
It's hard not to love the images it produces, as evidenced by the many beautiful posts on this thread. I love the bokeh rendering, which is mostly soft and creamy but sometimes displays just a bit of character. It's almost never harsh, pretty much only at longer distances with contrasty backgrounds. The f1.2 aperture is just slightly glowy, but stopping down to f1.4 cleans that up if you need more contrast. Wide open, this thing is a bokeh machine... it feels like I can get results that look like "brenizer" aka bokeh panorama-like. Or I suppose you could call it a medium-format look. Then, closing down the aperture and this lens gives you sharpness across the frame with gorgeous sunstars. Seriously, I might start to overdo the sunstars
My main gripe at this point is that I really wish it had AF. I brought it to a wedding as a guest and came away with many nice and fun images. I was disappointed though that I missed some key moments, where I'm confident AF would have succeeded. I guess I'm spoiled by the A7rII and eye-AF. I'll give it some time to use and practice MF, but I suppose a lower keeper rate is inevitable.
Anyways, those are my thoughts thus far. I'll have some images to post later

Suggestions are always welcome! Thanks for that!
I tried to add some vignetting before but the results where not too pleasing in my eyes. I will try to spend some more time in postprocessing to optimize it a bit.

I think it would only work if you mask the whole aircraft out then reduce contrast and brightness. Maybe add some vignette to this mask too. With a simple vignette the separation between aircraft and background will not work. and thus give no additional effect.

Everything except the foreground is in focus at 1.2? So you were at infinity?
I still don't understand what you are after. Yes, everything except the foreground was far enough from the camera to be in focus at f/1.2. Probably I could get the foreground in focus as well if I could see it in the viewfinder. The tree was at least 15 meters from the camera, which means just a hair from infinity.

Sebbe gave a good answer to my question; see above yours.
I've remained on the bench for a while on this lens. As a landscape guy, I've not seen anything in most of the landscape images from this lens that excited me - it's certainly not bad, but not exciting IMO. But I've always viewed this as a "thing" lens - this appears to be beautiful at capturing things, wide open or close to it. So I finally rented it to see if it was perhaps going to become my "thing" lens.
I'm convinced after only fifteen snaps around the house - I've seen the magic many of you have been ranting about. Absolutely beautiful lens. Guess I just have to await the next shipment to camera quest now, and hopefully it comes around my birthday in the next couple of weeks.
