Mid-day shooting conditions were helped by the late day monsoon rains and backlit scenery here in Canyonlands NP, Utah. Hiking around the edges of Island in the Sky got me away from the crowds and nearer to the action. These are the moments you dream of.

Amazing light..
Just curious, why shoot at f16? Were you trying to get the FG (such as it is) in focus?
Yes. The distance between the foliage foreground and the distant buttes was great. That's a typical approach for landscapers. Some like to focus blend, and that's good too. The lens goes to f32 so I wasn't at it's extreme aperture.
Wonderful image there. Enjoyed viewing nature at it's best.
I personally preferred viewing it as a monochrome with the greens cropped, but the greens do add to the layers.
