OK, nice light but for some reason they look like computer generated images . CGI ... maybe it's the extremely narrow DOF or the photoshopping your grandfathers old photo

I hear that Dan. My dad was on Omaha Beach on D Day. These are both wonderful and I wouldn't change anything. I like the line (#2) coming in from the bottom and leads right to the subject.
The only thing is the subject is way to young for so many hash marks...
