Today it was time for the big gun. The K500f4.5 is an extraordinarily difficult lens to use and get good images out of. Hard to transport also, hence this shot out the back window. The minimum focus distance is extremely long, and I needed an extension tube to focus on these in the neighbor's yard.

The roulette wheel told me to use my longest lens today, but alas I have no good destinations around here nor the means to take it. So out the window it goes. It's a crazy good lens, and not too difficult to use handheld.

My wife joined the Narren Club and met some folks over the weekend while working at the bake sale. We went back today for some cake and to meet some folk.
Only one image to show today because I'm down to one camera again. I had a catastrophic failure earlier today when I bumped the camera and it fell off my desk with A*300f2.8 lens attached. Both fell to the floor. The lens is a solid chunk of metal, and was undamaged, however the camera's lens mount broke clean off. I can't quite explain the feeling I had looking at the broken camera on the floor... a combination of sick, angry, and despair. I've already sent it out for repair, so we'll see what happens. Luckily, SWMBO has already approved a replacement should it come to that, but I'm hopeful that this camera that I bought minutes after it was announced can be repaired.
Anyway, here's today's shot with the camera that has already been to the repair shop this year.
