This might be a stupid question but...
Could someone clarify the exact model of this lens I should be looking at? I'm interested after seeing all the stunning images, but want to make sure I'm investing in the right thing.

The Novoflex isn’t cheap, but you can buy a ring that fits on the adapter and has a foot to mount on a tripod.
-Tim
The ring that Novoflex sells is a rotating collar called an ASTAT. The collar allows rotating the lens and camera 360 degrees for horizontal to vertical orientations with everything in between. The ASTAT as Tim has mentioned has an Arca Swiss type foot that can be locked to an Arca Swiss type clamp for sure and rapid tripod mounting.

I’m doing things backwards and ordered the Leitax adapter with a spacer to use a generic canon 70-200 tripod foot. Now I just need to find a good copy!

I have the Leitax to Sony adapter which allows me to use the Sony 2x teleconverter. But recently removed that to use the Canon Fotodiox dummy adapter so I could try it out on the GFX50s

The Leitax was my favorite adapter for this lens. Very sturdy.
I also don't use any tripod foot with the VS 100-300. It's not that heavy and stable enough imo.

I've always been afraid to leave it fully extended when shooting with the camera tripod mounted. Glad to know that I am probably overreacting.

Thanks for sharing this. I cancelled my tripod mount order since I use an L plate and won't bother with the collar if I don't need it.

Also the Leitax is lighter than other adapters. I think with the adapter, it was about 985g. Definitely not too heavy. My 100-400GM is 1,480g with an arca tripod foot (RRS)
I tested for vibration at 300mm and could not see much difference with tripod on the adapter or tripod on the camera.
I just ordered another one from Japan. Hopefully this will be haze-free...Not much luck since I sold my copy...

I've been looking at picking up another one, on and off for several days, and as some listings were disappearing, I was wondering if anyone here bought one.
Tonight, I placed an order from a Japanese seller. Supposed to be clear and free of haze. We'll see.
Also ordered a Leitax mount and their tripod adapter.
Some of the current listings for the lens are a bit of a joke - they're described as Excellent++. Near Mint, or Mint - with either haze or "only a little " water vapor inside.

I purchased two from Japan described as haze and separation "free", only to find out the lenses were unusable from the hazy rear element...I just got another one but honestly don't have my hopes up.
There is a great tripod foot you can use with Leitax. Let me find the pictures.

I'm selling a cy 100-300 in the fs section if anyone is interested. Good copy, no zoom creep, no haze. Love the image quality from the lens but not using as much as I had hoped.
