Although Oregon took a large hit with a catastrophic forest fire in the beloved Columbia River Gorge scenic area last year, I am still happy to say that Oregon has countless hundreds more epic waterfalls to see and photograph for those willing to adventure a little off the beaten path. And so does the Washington side of the Columbia River Gorge. Although I have photographed here more times than I can remember, I have never posted a shot. This is from last October and for some reason, I just wanted to go with a straightforward approach to composition.
Thank you for looking.
Great light to you.

Awesome shot Mark. I wish I had been there too ... great light!
My one nit is that I wonder if it would look better cropped in a bit on the left to get rid of the bright leaves at the far left side. Or burn those down a bit? I dunno, just a thought. But it is also pretty special as is.
Thank you everyone. Times have been crazy busy with new family life juggled into my photography lifestyle. Thank you for the comments. I'll try to get to them here and there as time allows. All the best to everyone!

Hi Don. Thank you very much. And thank you for your feedback here. It is funny because I wanted those leaves to stand out more, so I dodged them a little. But I totally can see it both ways. Thank you for your view!
