You may want to consider a Canon XSI. I had the 30D before the XSI and I preferred the IQ from the XSI over the 30D. You can get an XSI off ebay for $100.

There are a ton of 350D and similar cameras out there. With a bit of patience, you can score a respectable unit on Fleabay for 60~80 bucks.
