Hi, Mark! Great photos! I really like how the Helios 40 behaves on this camera, do you have any photos of other subjects? I have a Helios 77, but it doesn't perform well on medium format. I'm considering buying a Helios 40, but I'm still in the process of decision.

Thanks!

The 40-2 is reasonably sharp in the center, even wide open. The advantage of the GFX compared to my Z7 is that the somewhat larger sensor captures a wider image circle and therefore captures more swirl!

My 40-2 is of relatively recent vintage, with Nikon F mount and I use a F-to-GF adapter.

Wide open, 50S2 with hood:

Thanks for the reply! Very good result. I tried projection lenses, the sharpness was worse. This is what I got with Helios 77.

Very nice images. I have been interested in this lens for a long time, but have never seen images with it. Thanks for sharing these. They are lovely.

Thank you Steve. The rendering of out of focus color is really nice on the 210. I'm using a Fringer adapter but it is a little challenging to get it focused perfectly. Its slow, hunts and is noisy. But if you go into it with patience and a static subject, you can get a pretty unique look. I couldn't find much about it either but the prices of this Contax are pretty reasonable so I decided buy and try for myself. Happy I did.

It is accurate and better and more reliable than my Pentax 645n. It tends to move past the focus point and then retrace back to point of sharpest contrast. It mostly does a better and quicker job than i can do with manual focus and focus peaking. It can miss or fail with non contrasty subjects but it is not too bad. Screw drive noise is better than on my 645n. Forget about it for continuous focus tracking though. I assume it will work better on bodies that can do phase detect.

I'm more than happy with it, but my

The other thing I should add is that when it misses it is obvious, so you can recompose and try again. I have only been testing for a couple of days and with only two lenses - 200mm f4 and 80-160mm f4.5. I would theorise that any screw drive lens should work the same, as it is the adapter and body doing the work.

the 135 macro is a great lens, and now with the AF ability, cannot wait to try it out.

Do you mean the 645 120mm f4 macro? I thought the Pentax 135mm lenses were all for 35mm?
