Today I photographed the sacrament of baptism and took some pictures of the interior of the cathedral and the light. I really liked the atmosphere and the light inside the small cathedral
I really wonder how successful this lens was for Nikon. It's top-notch in my books but it's a big price tag and a fairly large lens. It comes out just before the mirrorless entries. A used copy right now seems to be priced quite nicely for those who don't mind an ftz....but I suspect most will now sit back and see what the new 28mm S lens will be.
I won't sell mine right now as I do love it.....but I don't think I would buy it right now.
Is a 28 1.4S even in the rumor mill? I'd actually pick that up giving how much I'm enjoying the Fuji 18 1.4 these days. Also yeah the 28 1.4G is hitting spare change purchase territory. I see one for $750-$800 I'm scooping it up. urbanwild wrote:

You'd enjoy the 28mm f1.4E no doubt! My suspicion is that if a Z-lens version comes out, I'll probably still prefer the f-mount as I don't want all of my lenses looking clinically sharp. But unfortunately it doesn't leave the house as much due to the size. I'm loving the size of the 28mm f2.8 SE, but the optics are only decent for f4 and above street shots in my books. The 1.4E is a beautiful lens for portraits.
Honestly! I've replaced my 28/1.4e with Sony 24mm f/1.4GM. Let's say I'm happy. Sony has made a very nice lens! But at the same time it's very sad to confess that 28/1.4e was born too late.
