Waiting on a lull in my work schedule and my D850 to arrive... then I'll report back. I love the drawing style of the 24mm 1.4g but wished:
A. It was a bit tighter for environmental portraits
B. It was an E lens
C. It was a bit sharper (its already very sharp so this is the lowest on the list)
To me, the 28mm 1.4E checked all those boxes... but I'll know more when I get my camera. Also, when I buy another ultra wide, ala Nikon 14-24E or 16-35 2.8E, I don't like the overlap that the 14-24 and 24 provided... time will tell.

I still have no desire of getting this lens back yet
I still haven’t had a desire to get this lens yet either, I just haven’t been impressed, I like the 24 & 35 better, but that’s just me. Elijah wrote:

This is an impressive lens without a doubt in every way. Each individuals focal length is what should be the only issue.

Very nice! How does it compare to 28mm f/1.8G in your opinion?
I'll be quite honest, when I did some test shots around my apartment, I couldn't really tell a difference between the bokeh and sharpness. And the 1.8G definitely wins in close focus.
But...
At an actual wedding the amount of keepers and sharpness in the corners is definitely better on the 1.4E. And for weddings, where each moment matters, that definitely makes a difference. So far so good.
So obviously you have rented the M10 with it's .73 VF and the relatively massive 28mm 1.4 M that blocks over 25% of the viewfinder and are ok with that?
28mm frame lines are already a bit tight with the longer VF of the M10 as it is, slapping a 28 1.4 on there would have me very detached from intuitive framing, a total deal breaker.
I'd say you might want to rent that particular combo before parting with over $13,000.

A bit off topic, so apologies to everyone.
So are you leaving the nikon eco-system? I recently tried M240, which is admittedly a bit thicker than M10, to get a feel for rangefinder system again. Growing up, I did shoot with my dad's M3 but could never really get used to it. The experience is certainly more enjoyable with digital Leica, not to mention Leica is infinitely more convenient to carry around, but three things made me decide against it. And mind you, I am just a hobbyist, and not a pro.
1) I love shooting sports and landscape with telephoto view and Leica system doesn't lend itself to that kind of shooting. It is perhaps best between 21mm and 75mm. I loved using the new summarit 75mm on it.
2) I found it difficult to get the focus right (perhaps a misalignment with rangefinder?)
3) Cost. I am just a lowly grad student, and the obscenely expensive lenses make the whole thing unpalatable for me.
Biggest advantage in favour of Leica? I could carry it around all day, goes well with my suit and oxfords, and it is the most attractive piece of engineering after the new generation of F1 V6 hybrids (imo)!

I’ll explain.
Using the M10 made me realize how much I’ve been missing (as a hobbyist)
Weddings drove me to a point where I didn’t enjoy photography... at all. And that is pretty bad because it should be the opposite.
What I realized with the purchase of the M10 is that I cannot entirely get rid of my Nikon setup. I will eventually keep one of the D750’s and purchase a 24-70 or something.
The only thing I’m losing with M10 is the autofocus. As for lens selection, a 35/50 or 35/75 should be my most used lenses anyway.
And of course, I’ll post this size comparison again and let this slide

you cheeky monkey. But I think you have it right, M10 will balance nicely with a D750 plus 24-70E & 70-200E for all your 'other' needs. Do try Zeiss 35mm 1.4 zm with your M10. in my limited experience, it is a 58G kind of lens. Really special piece of glass.
