Very nice series, I'm curious how many of these are baited or set up shots?
I know it's pretty prevalent because it's so hard to get clean shots do to the jungle and lighting?

To answer your question I will tell you that #1 and #3 where baited with fruit and sugar water. The quetzal, well how can you bait a quetzal? you just have to know where to look for them, and the motmot donīt come to feeders so you have to be lucky, hike a lot (in my case carrying my 600f/4) and go to feeders, for me itīs a pleasure to "chase" some of my subjects but I also know when and where to let them come to me.
Regarding lighting, I use fill flash with almost all my pictures.
