Nice shots again from this combo.
Since you have a Canon past: have you by any chance tried the 400DOII on the Canon EOS-R body? For these static type shots I am curious how AF accuracy and IQ would compare? The Canon has the renowned dual pixel AF, so should be dead accurate also, and it has 30mp so 6 mp more over the A9. And of course, the sensor glass and lens are natively tuned in the case of the R body, might give the R a sharpness edge, although I wonder if that would be visible.
I know action and general performance the A9 will leave the R far behind, but for this type of shooting, still curious how they would compare...
Bird on perch, but different kind. H/t to Sam Haskins...
Please pardon the hubris. Sony A9 + CV 50mm Nokton @ 1.2. Lucky street/grab shot while walking last evening. This young woman was resting briefly on a bench in my East Dallas neighborhood, on her own photo walk. The image has only been slightly altered from sooc—cropping and adjusting a bit for exposure. To me, a pretty good picture of a beautiful young person—admittedly mostly by luck! God bless current Sony color-science, magnified manual focusing, the Voigtlander 50mm [email protected], all the light-scattering pollution in the early-evening air, and of course, the genetic gifts this lady inherited...
