Yes, maybe I misspoke with outdated....I'll stick with overpriced then If I was shooting an Alpha camera I'd probably use them. But if I'm going to adapt the lens to an A9 then I'd just as well get the Sigma for half the price. I wouldn't go out and buy the Canon versions just to adapt either, of course if you already own the Alpha lenses then that would be a good way to go and adapt to an A9 (if the A9 has benefits to you over the Alpha cameras).
Nanda I think he's using the MC-11 adapter for Canon--->Sony and it 'messes' with the EXIF.
When I use the MC-11 on the a9+Canon 400DOii it reports it as an alpha lens when obviously it is a Canon.
This doesn't happen with the Metabones which report the EXIF correctly.

Aren’t you already using alpha lenses??
600/4 DT
No, the MC-11 reports weird exif but all my photos are with Canon 600 f/4 IS II and Canon 400 DO II that report the "SAM" in the exif. There is no 600/4 or 400/4 Alpha lens anyways.
All I really want to know is how the hell you some of you guys (ahem... Geoff) have so much time to shoot?? I haven't touched my a9 since our FL trip with Ron
I find it good to see more activity here. Love to see what the camera is capable of in competent hands, I find the flight shots of small birds impressive in particular.
I was cycling on gravel road today and almost ran over this guy who thought it was a good idea to sunbathe in the middle of it. Not only did that almost get it overrun but it got harassed by a photographer as well. Some guys pick these up by the tail. I prefer to photograph them with my 200-800mm lens with less than 1m minimum focusing distance .
You guys are amazing!!
These doctors have so much time, their patients must be having a long long queue in the clinic everyday, patiently waiting for the doctor, while the doctor must be waiting even more “patiently” for a small bird to take off
😀
Hats off to you all for being able to go out and click. Obviously you love photography and you love nature !

Don't worry Mitesh...as you know, my free time will be coming to an abrupt end very soon....
Just unboxed and mounted my new A9 with the metabones 5 and Canon 400 DOii...a bit frustrating with the focus hunting using adapted lens. But when it does lock on it is wonderful....I was lucky to find this gorgeous box turtle swimming nearby and so was able to get a good idea of the camera's iq. Still a work in progress for sure.
