The high ISO with the D500 blows me away. You must be rock steady to get those shots with those shutter speeds

Hi Birdie, thanks so much for your kind words. For about 70% of the images I used a Manfrotto 679B Monopod, the rest were handheld. With all the hiking, thank goodness the weather was cool in the cloud forest- I definitely needed the extra stability to get those photos- glad I decided to take it along.
