Question about FL. With the GF23/4 the FL for full frame equivalent is aprox 18mm. Does this apply to non-naitive glass as well? Is that Zeiss 18mm really 13mm or so? Thanks!
Great question. The Focal Length (FL) of a lens is what it is, so the GF23 has an FL of 23mm and the Zeiss 18mm an FL of 18mm. When used on the 50S or 50R the Field of View (FOV) and Depth of Field (DOF) of those two lenses correspond in 35mm equivalent terms indeed to an 18mm and 14mm FOV and DOF, assuming the image circle covers the larger sensor and you use the entire roughly 44x33mm sensor. As Mike Reed just posted his gorgeous image, if you use only the 36x24mm Full Frame central portion of the larger sensor then you are back at 23 and 18mm. Well, that’s my understanding anyway.
After a long long wait, my GF 250/4 finally arrived. On the same day as Mitakon 65/1.4. I have not had much chance to use either yet but here are a few shots.
Mitakon is a bit warmer. I just adjusted WB and hilight to match both lenses
but no sharpening or any other adjustments made. Sorry exposure is not quite the same .

I had an early, bad copy of the Mitakon 65 1.4 (rear element assembly issue that they corrected), so it suffered at 1.4. Your example looks wonderful, though. Might just have to re-order it.

Congrats on the 250 as well. Sharp, isn't it?
I have not had much chance to play with the Mitakon yet but early impression is good. At F1.4, it is sharp enough for portrait
with beautiful render and a nice glow to it. Considering the price, I cant complain. 250 is so sharp but my biggest surprise is that it is not
nearly as heavy as I thought consider the size and weight of other GF lenses ( I know, I could have looked up the spec first but I was waiting so long for it that I kind of forgot about it actually. So it was a nice surprise when I picked it up).
As much as I like Nikon 70-200/2.8e FL, I think 250/4 is quite a bit more impressive than that.

How is coverage at 1:1/square? The older ZF/ZE 18mm is so nice and compact. It has wave distortion, but C1 has the ZF/ZE profiles to correct it.
It's great at 1:1 and yes I like the size too
I also have the Canon 16-35 f4 IS on the way to see how it does.
50S with 32-64/4. Now that Capture One supports GFX, I am very happy. Just some pictures from when I first got the GFX. Now there is too much smog and air pollution here to go out to take pictures so
time to go through old pictures
