Well, I simply couldn't resist the temptation of owning a medium format especially when everybody who received their 50R posting stunning images. Went to this iconic place and took the GFX for a spin! It behaves a lot like my good old RX1R, but with glorified body size + lens size + image quality! Mind blowing resolution and color output!
50R + 45mm
ISO 6400 Pano stitch from 5 images hand held
I do think that these images don't justify the quality of the GFX especially viewing on web, but apart from resolution, I don't think my RX1R can take such vibrant color...

What would make the GFX a delight to focus? Here’s my list:
More magnification at all three settings.
Continuously variable peaking sensitivity adjustable with a thumbwheel, going much lower than the present “low” setting.

K-H.
Manual focus on the GFX is easiest using Acros+R simulation with red peaking (default peaking settings). The image & red peaking areas will alias when in perfect focus (at maximum magnification – not sure about other zoom settings).
Typical LA shot, GF 250 + 1.4x teleconverter, six-shot stitch. Sorry, I know it's big.
In the original you can easily discern people on the left deck of the US Bank tower.
Thank you for your opinion. I guess I'm not the targeted photographer since that starting price point is out of range. I'll Co tjnje buying used gear until then. Hopefully they last so I can get one for $1500 on day

Me - I had never any intention of buying a Medium Format camera until I had a careful look at some of the stunning images it produces and noticed its price in line with Nikon D3, Leica M9, Sony A9 when first released and the stellar Fujinon GF lenses on sale at an attractive discount bringing their price in line with FF lenses. Sure, I don’t consider the GFX a general purpose camera, including for action shots, but it nicely complements my Olympus MFT and Sony FF systems. What’s not to like, with the 100S on the horizon? :-)

Question about FL. With the GF23/4 the FL for full frame equivalent is aprox 18mm. Does this apply to non-naitive glass as well? Is that Zeiss 18mm really 13mm or so? Thanks!
