On the subject of subjectivity vs “reality” in photographs (I am in Dan’s camp about the impossibility of a truly objective presentation), there’s another factor that isn’t often discussed. I would guess that the vast majority of photographs have a shutter speed at capture that is some minuscule fraction of a second. We don’t experience life that way. Even ‘if’ all the other factors could be neutralized / sterilized so that there was something ‘objective’ captured.... would that tiny fraction of that particular second represent anything approaching “reality” in the flow of time?

I'm new to the GFX (I've only had it for about a week) and still learning how to use it so I thought I'd jump in here and start sharing some images as I discover the capabilities of this camera. I've seen some very nice images here so far and I hope I can continue the trend (and feel free to tell me if I'm not!) with a few contributions of my own.
I've been in a bit of a photographic funk lately, and not shooting much (other than a couple of virtual tours), so it was nice to get this camera just before vacation and wander around some of the Cape Cod beaches, especially early in the morning, with a camera by my side and explore the views. I was often looking up for a good landscape shot, but I started to look down more regularly and found subjects of equal interest. The last image is heavily cropped...I'll have to go back when I have a macro lens.
This is a local dam and reservoir (Wachusett Reservoir) that I have shot many times and I happened to be near it last night when the sky looked especially photogenic...so I stopped and shot a few images as the light faded and liked this the best. Edited in LR using the Provia color profile.
I am really enjoying shooting with the GFX. Coming from having had a few Sony A7xxx's, I thought the size of the Fuji might be an issue, but it's not at all (BTW, I always shot the Sony's with the battery grip because it was just more comfortable for me). The ergonomics and relative light weight, given its size, make it easy to carry around, and the overall shooting experience is thoroughly enjoyable.
