I'm humbled and honored to see your very kind words, Eric. Thank you very much for your encouragement. It's such a pleasure to see that you enjoyed my writings and photos and echoes with my feeling. Truly grateful for that. Yes, you are absolutely right about my emotion when I saw the SEO and the bobkitten Thanks for your kind words on the MRI. Just finished. Will wait for the result. From the numbness and all it seems to be a herniated disk but will see.

Tin Man, these are simply gorgeous photos of both the owl species and the bobkitten (I love that you call it that btw). I have been following your escapades (funny, I first wrote escapes by mistake and thought after proofreading the post it was actually not that far off) and know just how chuffed you were to be able to capture images of the SEO and the smile that must have come across your face when seeing that little cat must have been a sight to see.
For those of you that don't follow Tin Man Lee via his newsletter you are missing out big time. It is a combination of photography, poetry, life lessons and self awareness that I do not think exists elsewhere. It is not simply a visual feast (which it is) but one that makes one think about how the pursuit of an image is related to more existential thought.
Good luck with your MRI today....as one who has had back surgery in his 20s for what seems to be a similar issue I fully understand what you are going through and empathize with your predicament.

Very nice Tin Man, This is one of my favorite places to photograph. With only five days of sunshine since Jan 1st, it has been difficult to get well lit images. Unfortunately, they are going to flood this area to enhance salmon fishery so will not be able to shoot there in the future. What an opportunity to find a bobcat as well. Bruce
Hi DiverDown2, thanks for your kind words. I didn't add a filter. I just tried to catch the golden hours few minutes prior to sunset for those shots, and was lucky to find some yellow/orange colored background so they glow in gold by the sunlight.
Thanks,
Tin Man

Fabulous.
I have a question,
I notice your photos have a golden hue, is this just what canon does or do you add a filter? By the way I love the hue.
Tin Man, it was a pleasure meeting you last month! Your images show your love of nature. I especially like images 1, 5, and 7. The first image is especially wonderful! Sorry to hear about your back problems. I had lower back surgery for a badly herniated disc about 30 years ago. That operation made a huge difference in the quality of my life. Whatever treatment plan that you pursue, I wish you good luck and good health. And finally, based on Eric's recommendation, I just signed up for your newsletter! Take care.

Great to see you posting your recent work for us to enjoy here on FM! Congratulations on so many wonderful images. It's always a treat to see your visual symphony of light, beautiful subjects, and perfect backdrops.
I agree with Eric about your newsletters and blog. Been reading the blog for quite some time, and it's definitely one-of-a-kind. A joy to read and a wealth of knowledge. More than anything, your love of nature and photography shine and, as you know, have been inspirational to me (and others, I'm sure).
Hope your tests and treatments go well, and look forward to seeing more of your work soon!
