That is pretty cool Dave. Love the warm ground tones against the cooler mountain range.

I have to agree - the contrast between warm/cool blue/gold is what really makes this work. Well done.

Beautiful. I spent about 2 years consulting on an Army base (non-photography) in Lassen County, north of Reno, Nevada, and this brings back nice memories of the extraordinary scentery.

Really, really like the color contrast! Doesn't hurt, either, that the Eastern Sierra region is one of my favorite places.

The Eastern Sierra scenes you've previously presented have been delightful and this one is as well. I enjoy the warm on cool contrast as well.

Delicious color contrast in this one. Dunno about the glow? Maybe it pops a bit too much? If it was added in post, maybe this could work without it as well.

Thanks for taking time to comment. I did add a touch of Orton to the foreground. Have to play with it - will be easy to dial back if I choose.

Hey Dave,

That is some very cool light and colors in this. A very nice Eastern Sierra look. Have you tried a crop that eliminates the sky? It is nice seeing the peaks, but perhaps a tighter shot would as well? As long as the snow covered sides of the mountain background was still there.

I'm not sure why, but the contrast between the warm foreground and the cool mountains works out very nice.

I'd print it and hang it on the wall.
