Nice shots folks! Great thread Mawz!
The film bug has hit me as well. In the last 2 weeks I bought 3 cameras sick cheap. I already own an FM2 that was my first great camera, HS gift from my folks.
So, I stumbled on an 50mm f1.8 AI-s on "Letgo". It was attached to a FG, which I thought for some reason was a crappy camera. I got both for $30. The FG is, at least by appearance one hell of a nice camera.
Then I was showing it off at work and I guy there gave me a smoking deal on a Yashica Electro 35 with the lens attachments, leather case and all. This was the Peter Parker (Spiderman) camera. $20. I am going to run film thru this one just for fun but compared to the Nikons kind of a POS. But a POS in kind of a good way, ha!
Then...I found a minty SB-28 flash for 50 bucks and managed to snag an equally lovely F-80 camera, for...get this.. 20 bucks! i put my 70-300mm VR on it and it focuses super fast. That flash should work TTL on the F-80.
The damn batteries cost me 60% what I paid for the camera!
It's been really fun buying this stuff, every person was super nice.
So I have a roll of Ilford pan F in the FM2, a roll of HP5 in the FG and I just bought a 4 pack of fuji 200 for 11 bucks at Walmart.
Since I just got all this stuff, recent images will follow, but here is a great egret I shot in the 90's. It's with my FM2 and my 80-200 f4.5 (an awesome, STUPID sharp lens you can get for 80 bucks) This was scanned at Walgreens. The real print looks a million times better. https://flic.kr/p/9jFVp6
A shot made a couple of days ago in Venice. Nikon F6 & Nikkor 180/2.8 Ai-S. Kodak Tri-X 400 developed in Ilford ID-11 (stock) at 20° C for 7:45 & scanned with an Epson v850.
Some from Florence. F80s & 85/1.8 AF-S. TRI-X 400 self developed and scanned on a Nikon LS-50. I don't know why but I just love the F80 ... even more than the F6 or F100. Pity it doesn't meter with Ai-S lenses.
