These guys picked the worst time of day and spot for photograph but I felt very fortunate to see this behavior.
The Moose courting behavior is very different from that of the Elk. The females lavish affection on the Bull. One of these girls was rubbing all over a bull, salivating a river when another female got to close. Ears went back and a lot of vocalization took place. Then it was on. Ultimately the bull stepped in to break up the dispute.

Looks like the first turnout on Gros Ventre, east of the 89. They were messing around there for weeks but I did not see any major. tussles.
