Thanks guys. Guitardirkey, I believe this is Washakie because of the slit in the ear. There were several bulls is the area. Cody, Custer and several young bulls. Reko. these were taken along the Gros Ventre river. Steve when were you there? We just got home but were there two weeks about the 12~24 Sept. I met a lot of photogs, wondering if any of them were you guys.
For all interested in the action there check out Mike Jackson's website, www.bestofthetetons.com. I met him literally in the river one morning and shot with him. He is a pro out of Jackson Hole. Very nice guy.
Just missed you, we were there the week before.
We saw one fool (a local!), who passed himself off as a pro, go down to the river putting him less than 30 yds from a small group. His presence upset the animals, they moved and blew the shot for him AND me. We have friends who live there... the stories they tell.
I posted some from that trip at https://www.flickr.com/photos/10796340@N04/with/30058154766/
I was over at Mormon Row and found two other photographers there, one from Denver, the other lives just a few miles from me... small world. Hopefully we can cross paths too.

I was there and watched this action take place but missed getting the photos and am totally excited to see that you got these! Fun to see.
Dog gone it. You are supposed to sleep, eat and walk everywhere with that camera.
