You find beautiful locations and light. And do them justice.
Thank you, Andy! Sometimes, or actually most of the time, it was more luck than anything else.
BTW, I know that there are a lot of Batis users out there. Keep in mind that is our thread, Batis users. Please post your pictures taken with your lens(es) here and you still can cross post them on the big FE thread. Thank you!
Two images captured using Batis 18mm at White Pocket.
18mm Batis portrait at f2.8. I'm starting to like using this lens for portraits! The only down side is you need to get VERY close. Shot at Inle Lake, Myanmar.

All shot with A7Rii and Zeiss 18mm f2.8. I didn't know that a small fly got into the sensor. Just order some cleaning stuff for it
Be careful cleaning that sensor - Sony customer service has said the A7R II needs to be sent to them for cleaning because of the risk of damaging the IBIS mechanism.
Here is a recent image from Pacific Grove, at a golf course on the very tip of the Monterey Peninsula. The sun was low and the dust from golf cars lit by the sun and filtered by some tree branches made it interesting.
After seeing the images on this thread I had to spring for the Batis 85, from an FM'er who has posted here. Looking at them again makes me wonder about the 25. Has anyone used the 85 and 25 as a two-lens combo? My original plan was for the 85 and maybe something around 35. I am trying to move away from zooms. I have the Rokinon 14, which seems to be a good copy.

Not the 85 paired with the 25, however since October I've elected to travel with the Batis 25 and the Sony 55. I wanted a light travel kit and also to see what this primes thing would yield. I've been very happy with it.
I plan to continue with this duo, at least when it seems to suit. I do have a Baltic trip coming up later this year which will include a 2-day small group tour in St. Petersburg. Pretty sure I'm going to need my 16-35 for that, for versatility without changing lenses.
