I use Sony ZA Planar 50/1.4 and ZA 35/1.4 Distagon together with the rest of Zeiss Batis lenses,as there is no lenses with such focal lenghts in the Batis line.And so some pictures taken with them are included.

This one is from yesterday at the famous flower garden at Keukenhof in Holland
I just received another copy of the Batis 40. Unfortunately, this one has slightly different problem (tilted element, diagonally, and lower left side) than the last one. I'll be checking with Zeiss about possible repair/replacement. I did some tests today and got a few keepers with smaller apertures. I'll be pursuing getting a quality Batis 40!

I am sure Zeiss will take care of it; for sure if you buy it new. Modern lenses by designed are harder to repair/adjust as their optical components are assembled/glued together as groups… I hope you get a good one before too long. Too bad I sold a great copy after acquiring a GM 35mm…
