Agree and I'm going to have to reread this in several hours when mine shows up. Heading out to go test my lens with just a normal adapter for now. But I'm looking forward to having the Exif and AF abilities and this Zeiss 35 the close focus is not so close natively so the adapter will be really useful as I just sold my Hawk adapter last night to a member so I'm really hoping this works . And I'm buying back the 85ZM f4 as soon as I raise the cash.

So let me ask what recommendation to use AFS with flexible spot like medium or large seems to work best. Can't imagine this doing AFC. Btw I turned the drive mode switch into AF/manual switch so I can go back and forth

I'm surprised it works very well in AF-C mode, perhaps even better.
I just tested it with f/4 lenses in lower light and the focusing point works much better if it's in the center. For faster lenses, it does not really matter much as long as the focusing point is not too much far out the PDAF area.

It's interesting because with the RX1RII, it's the same. AF-C works better than AF-S, especially in lower light.

Their customer support is very impressive. I get answers within hours...and I do have a lot of questions.

The new Android APK app to modify the pre-programmed aperture settings is in beta and not yet available to the public but Kevin (Techartpro) gave me the download link for those who would like to try it out.

Also, regarding the maximum weight. Here is what he wrote me:

"Actually the motor is powerful enough to drive >1kg lens but we are just worried about the mechanical sustainability. So I will suggest you to support the lens by giving it a upward force to offset its weight. So that the adapter can solely drive the lens forward/backward only."

Well, as long as you asked:

Do you think it's possible that we'll have the ability to use Eye Detect AF with your adapter any time soon, or is there some technical obstacle to that functionality?

We are hoping to 'crack' the Eye-AF but it still takes some time since we are doing it through reverse engineering. And for the exact time needed, we really cant tell.. Sadly
