So this evening I took the Nikkor 28/1.4 D AF for a spin with the Techart Pro on A7r.2.
I had no problem focusing from f/1.4 to f/16 and up to ISO 6400, using AF-C and Flexible Spot M.
Really impressive focusing performance!

Ashley Pond is the location of free band performances during the summer on Friday evenings.

Hi everyone,
My first post here, even if I read your forum for quite a long time.

I've received my A7II yesterday, so I've been able to finally try the adapter.
WOW is the word. Impressive.

I still have a question regarding the setup app.

As far as I understand, the F11 / F13 / F14 and so on, are the F stop we have to choose to match what we've entered in the configuration app.
Is that correct ?

If so, I might have miss something, because my camera obviously reacts when I change the F stop, resulting burnt images.

I choose
F13 is for my Voigtlander 40mm f1.4.
F14 for my Leica Elmarit 90mm 2.8

Have I missed something ?

It's very simple - just take one shot at say F/13 for your 40 mm - that sets up the focal length for the exif and the IBIS if you have the latter set on auto. You then change the aperture on the camera back to F/2 for all subsequent shots, for which exposure will be set correctly according to the aperture that you've set on your lens.

I will get second but I m going to wait till after Photokina just in case something comes up.

I do carry a cheap Fotosy adapter just in case. I'm actually thinking of grabbing another and use them with Sony rear cap in my bag for 2 out of 3 lenses. Reason is I don't have to deal with Leica rear caps. I can take the Fotosy off when changing lenses. Hate carry two diffrent rear caps. I'm thinking about this idea. Or just buy extra cheap Leica caps and store my good ones.

I went with the cheap Leica rear caps but I also keep a straight to Sony E mount adapter in my bag just case also. But so far, TAP performs like a champ.

Okay ordered 3 Sony rear caps and another Fotosy m to e their 13 dollars. So now I will use cap and adapter as my rear protect. Plus if I'm in a hurry I could just use the Fotosy without the tech art plus this adds another backup adapter. I can store my Zeiss caps and I'm only dealing with Sony rear caps.

I will use the dedicated hoods for the 35 and 50 ZM but a generic hood for the 85 the one with it is too long for me. I just use a 43mm screw in.

Next attack area is filter step ups and downs. I use 62mm for the VC 15 and my Loxia 21 as I use empty screw in filters as hoods on those lenses . So adding these 3 lenses it's 43,46,49 step downs

My 50 will be here Monday
