I just got my TechArt Pro, and the update won't work. The TechArt program for android just ups and quits when I hit update.. I get the "unfortunately TechArt has stopped"... Confirm that you do the update with the camera turned off and the adapter attached to the camera without a lens? Oh and I tried this on both an android phone and an android tablet, the phone is LG and table is Samsung, same thing happens, "..TechArt has stopped".. thanks for any help... -cj-

Keep trying. It took me 6-7 attempts before it connected.

I just tried the Configuration app.

It only lets you configure 4 aperture settings: (F11, F13, F14 and F16). I wish it let you "add" more apertures to the app.

So, I only have 4 lenses I use with this adapter so I configured this way:

F11 (15mm) - For the CV 15/4.5
F13 (35mm) - For the ZM 35/1.4
F14 (50mm) - For the ZM 50/1.5C
F16 (90mm) - For the Leica 90/2.5

I works perfectly but as I wrote, it would be nice if we could chose even lower aperture settings than f/11 and the app let you add more apertures.

For those people looking for a tripod mount solution, this L bracket is thick enough and it clears the LMEA7.

YES! You are right. All other aperture choices are there until f/32 when you scroll down. Thanks!

What's nice is that the 135mm setting (f/32) is already set to "After shoot" (AF) instead of the default (MF).

i don't have f90, oh wait, now it says f90.. trying again, no still no love... app just quits. I took a shot at f90, turned off camera, took off the lens so that only the adapter is on the camera. Then went to the app and hit update. Are these the correct steps? I got this from another post...

Sounds corrected. I worked on my for a couple of hours before it connected. Wish they would put a USB port on these things

OK, finally got it to work. FYI, I went through the process all over again from the start. Set it on f90, took a picture, turned it off, removed the lens, set the phone next to the adapter still on the camera and selected update and started the update process. Thanks for the help...

I noticed that AF-C seems to be more accurate than AF-S in low light.
However, changing "Priority Set in AF-S" to "AF" instead of "Release" helps a lot.

It's how I have been setup for awhile now. Shooting events I want release

As far as accuracy I did not get to far into it but something I'm going to look into more.

ugggh, so it updated successfully and now the autofocus doesn't work anymore. I can't select any of the autofocus modes. The camera shows set in MF, and I can't change it. It was working fine on the earlier firmware. I wonder if I can go back....
update: In case anyone else runs into this problem. I re-ran the update sending it back to 3.0. Checked that autofocus was working, which it was. Then went through the update process once again to go up to 4.0, and this time it seems to have worked and autofocus is now working. -cj-

Yes you can go back installing a previous version via the same App. I have updated mine yesterday ant it works beautifully, may be something went wrong during your update. I would try again

It could be that you have a custom button for "MF" focus. Once you hit this custom button, it won't let you change to a AF mode. Turning the camera off and back 'on' will fix it. Alternatively you could press the same custom button again to get off of MF focus mode.

FWIW, I never took the lens off.. just F90, snap, power off, update.

Well, I'll be damned . . . back to configuring . . .

BTW - I never remove a lens from the adapter when updating firmware at F90 and it seems to have worked fine.

That is the one that works.
Thick enough for a tripod mount. It barely clears the base of the LMEA7.
