Yes, f/90, take a picture and then turn the camera off.

Then on your phone, make sure that bluetooth is "on" and the phone "lock" is turned off. Also be sure it has more than 50% battery. Then run the update using the app.
It's pretty easy but took about 6 minutes to complete.

Fred, did you do it with the lens attached to or off the TAP? I tried it but it did not work.

After I changed to F90, I could not take any picture. And as a result, the iphone could not find the adapter. Also, what is phone "lock". Sorry, could not find it.

Thanks.

Never mind, got it Fred.

When you set aperture to f/90, make sure the shutter speed allows you to take a picture. It may help to switch to manual mode and setting shutter speed fast enough for a quick snap.
Then switch the camera off.

Got it Fred and Scho. I got it with lens attached and turned the camera off after shooting at F/90. Thanks so much.

^ Also did a quick check and the iOS app did not find the adapter once update was completed. Probably good idea to do this check before checking battery drain!

Quick question for the group.

Anyone using the TechPro and the RRS A7R2 L bracket combination? Will the Tech Pro mount when the L bracket attached?

Thanks

F32 puts 135mm into the Exif!
But then it switches off AF.

K-H.

I have a Sunway which I think mirrors the RRS . I had to grind down the front of it. Now I can easily put adapter on without rubbing. Than I put rubber pads between body and plate so I can clear the groves for my tripod head. All posted earlier in this thread.

I've asked them to reconsider 'switching off AF' when using f/32 but I guess, it didn't happen this time.

Now I can install adapter without rubbing on plate. I can use tripod head without adding additional plates. The only thing I can't do is remove adapter when on tripod. I have to take camera off tripod

Or you can do as Fred suggested. No grinding involved and you can remove it when not using a tripod.

It's kind of my approach to gardening. I have a 24" cordless hedge trimmer. If I can't do a gardening chore with it, I won't do it.

Thanks for the suggestion, that is going to be the solution I'll use when using a tripod, however what I really need to know is will the adapter actually mount without having to grind some of the from plate off? Based on Guy's comment it sounds like there is some rubbing between the lower portion of the adapter and the forward edge of his Sunway bracket.

Guy, the RRS plate I believe is a little different than the Sunway in that it runs the length of the camera body, in addition the camera battery compartment door actually mounts to the L-bracket.

It very well could be not having one I can't say for sure. It's the front lip that comes up from the horizontal plate on the Sunway that rubs for me. Now if you did spacers like little rubber pads you get like at ace it may just be enough to get over the plate. Really have to try and see what happens. Worst case I'll grind it down for ya if you need too. Dremel is on hand. Lol
