Thanks I kinda found my comfort zone with the biking shots at 1/40-1/60, still a challenge though. But the runners are a whole new level especially at 1/30-1/40. Last week was particularly stressful with no back-up photographer to get freeze-the-action shots, just in case my panning fails.

You are just good at tracking your subjects simultaneously in line with the sensor while spamming the shutter. I know the game

Well that's panning for you Although I noticed that the tracking, remaining stable, your stance, all affect results and I saw huge improvement from year to another.

There are some fantastic pictures in this thread but I cannot bring myself to accept this oval bokeh. It just seems so pronounced in comparison to the older 105 and 135DC lenses.
