I am falling in love with this lens after looking at the images in this thread. Don't know why the angry photographer is so against this lens 🤔🤔
I don't agree with him at all. He raved over the Tamron 70-200 2.8 G2 and trashed the Nikon 105 1.4E. I have both lenses and while I love the Tamron, as far as just IQ the 105 1.4E is much better IMO.

I don't pay a lot of notice to either him, or to his reviews of gear. There's a video on YouTube of him shooting with Jason Lanier - the difference in the images produced by both photographers speaks volumes. Whilst Jason and his videos may not be to everyone's taste, there's no doubt that he's an exceptional photographer. The same cannot be said for TAP.
For any review of a lens, I want to understand in what context it was used, how it performed in terms of handling and ability to get the shot, backed up by a good fistful or two of solid quality, real world sample images. No test charts, brick walls or pixel peeping....
I've just returned from a holiday where I took quite a lot of shots with this lens. Besides it's unquestionable ability with portraits (that rendering is sublime), it doesn't do at all badly as a wildlife lens with some cropping. Time and time again, I have been astounded by its across the frame sharpness wide open. I'll post a few samples this week when I find the time in between chasing my lost baggage 😕
Hope this lens was not in the lost baggage! Could you please post few wild life shots with this lens? Thanks.
