TJ, thanks I'll look online first, I had thought about the plywood route but was worried about the seams.
Good point there.
You would need to cover the plywood with a smooth material like a vinyl flooring or something similar or even skim coat it with plaster to cover the seams and make it really smooth.
Sounds like an interesting project, I'll have to put more thought into it. Any idea how the plexiglass holds up compared to lexan? I need to buff mine using the tip that John mentioned, but it seems to scuff easily.
Jason, thanks for your advise. Here's a photo of the 'studio' so far. We are just starting to take the old drywall down to do wiring. Please excuse the mess. For a reference point, I am 6'0", and I have to stand on my toes to reach the bottom of the softbox when it's stuck all the way up inbetween the joists.
Have any of you hardwired telephone jacks into your studio? If so, are they handy? Where did you locate the jacks?
Also, what floor would you suggest? I would love to put a pergo (pseudo hardwood) floor in, but that could get really expensive.
We did that and then put down 2 5x10 rugs in the main model area, the paint making a border around the rugs.
This makes it easier for the lights to roll arouns if you put them on casters.
Apart from the light in the cleing, I don't really advocate fixed jacks unless you are going to use a predominent lighting setup as you may find yourself limited in being able to roll the lights around as needed.

I use Jinbei and I absolutly love them.
May I know the model numbers for the different lights you use? I am overwhelmed by the catalog that I do not know which to choose. Moreover, it seems that there isnt much details in the catalogue for me to really understand. If you can help, I would be so glad.
