Just got all of my Alienbees this week and got my home studio setup. It is a little tight, but only have so much room. First pic is of the studio and second is the best test model yet!
I am a giclée maker, and have recently upgraded my studio to enable me to accept originals up to 6 feet by 8 feet. The large black panel moves side to side. The metal rule seen is 6 feet long. Might be something new to look at for most of the folks who do portraiture.

Granted this studio is not MINE, but its one out of two studio where I work. And Im pretty much the only one that uses this particular studio :P
a different kind of "studio": shot in a warehouse of ours for internal PR for the first time (NOT being a pro). while i took a ton of stuff with me (see pic 1 - big power pack, three heads, stands, modifiers, etc etc...)...: http://www.roalds.com/images/studio_b_1.jpg
...i ended up doing almost all pics with the "very slimline studio" shown on pic 2: one lightstand on wheels, battery generator and one flash head mounted, most of the time around 500-700 WS into the ceiling (15 ft high)- only in this pic pointing forward - dragging shutter to get background details in also. http://www.roalds.com/images/studio_b_2.jpg
worked reasonably well, battery unit held up for some 200 shots before battery needed to be switched. the camera tripod on shot two fastened on an electric forklift in "mcgyver" mode - lots a gaffer tape...

You won't see too many NON-pro's with a Digital 3000. Or pro's either, for that matter. Nice pack. Drool.
Very interesting thread, lot of things to see héhé.
Just for the fun, here's mine ! A 'friend room' which serve also as home studio, with backgrounds, two flashes (softbox and different umbrella for the second one), and a custom made anti-reflector with shithouses tube and black cloth (to deepen shadows).
As I've just change body/tripod/head, my old tripod (manfrotto 190B and 486RC2) now serves me as a table ! Very nice to be able to change height, angle etc (just screwed a PL200 into a piece of wood) !
Sorry for the distortion, this is a pano very fastly done with my old good 300D !
Here is the room I use from time to time. While not 'mine' technically, I'm pretty much the only one who ever uses it. I bring in my gear from home as necessary. Dimensions are 19'x30' (inside the little divider wall) and ceilings are about 15'.
I've been watching this thread for so long that I remember when I was reading it to learn about lighting and hanging onto every one of JohnE's and many other's posts. Now I operate amy own 1700 sq ft studio. I have some images of my studio and some samples but I'm sorry I don't have any behind the scenes of the actual shoots. I have 5 models coming to the studio in a few weeks and I will grab some shots then.
