Just decided to get a Ricoh GR IIIx. I've been eyeing the GR line for a few years but never really got along with 28mm. Once I discovered the IIIx with a 40mm equivalent field of view I'm more comfortable with I knew I had to have one. It's a very addictive camera to use given the portability. I took a stroll around the neighborhood to get to know it a little better and thought I'd post a few.

Thanks for sharing! And welcome to the group. I'm really enjoying the GR IIIx too, although the GR III isn't going anywhere. When I travel (and I do travel a fair amount for work) at least one or more than likely both of my GR's are coming with me.
Thanks for the warm welcome helimat! The weather went to crap the past two weeks but I have a few more from the same outing. Missed focus on the second one, but I still like it. I'll be going to Las Vegas with the family next week and plan to put the GR through it's paces over there. It's great as a family snapper and general walkaround camera to be sure.

Looking forward to seeing some GR shots from Vegas!

Picked up a my first Ricoh since my film SLR back in the 70s. The GR3 came in yesterday and after a little setup & learning gave snap focus a try.
If anyone would have tips to pass on for using please feel free...
Nice Mark, I think you'll like it. One tip I can pass on is that I like to shoot both jpg & raw, with the image control usually set hi-contrast B&W. I often end up using the jpg SOOC

GR III, Alaska
I have been playing with that and really like to tones...
What do you think of the Highlight-weighted metering?
a while back I picked up a Fuji X-E1/27mm 2.8 to ride second camera in my bag with the Leica, but this little thing is a much better fit and more responsive (X-E1 is as old as my M240).
